The Digitale Werkplaats will be presenting the results of the workshop
‘Wearables’ (intelligent clothing.) The presentation starts with a lecture
by Joanna Berzowska (CAN). She will describe the current landscape of
wearables which are still in the early stages of development and talk about
her own work. Artists Anja Hertenberger, Meg Grant, Dorette Sturm, Karina
van Heck and Danielle Roberts will present and discuss their wearables. In
cooperation with the Design Academy, White Lady Lectures.
Accompanying this workshop is a publication which will be presented as well.
Hysterical Bubble in Denmark
The exhibition Pretty Smart Textiles 2011 goes on from the 2nd till 19th May at TEKO – VIA University College in Herning, Denmark.
The exhibition Pretty Smart Textiles shows the works of Dutch artists and designers in the emerging field of electronic textiles, a new medium at the intersections of fashion, art and technology.
